Your information, treated with care
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 22, 2026
This policy explains how Asè Health Services Inc., operating HOW LAB, collects, uses and protects personal information. The Grounding Room is a self-reflection tool—not a medical record, clinical service or emergency channel.
1. Who we are
HOW LAB is the digital fitness, wellness and self-care division of Asè Health Services Inc. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to jodyhwll@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address and the unique account identifier supplied through secure sign-in.
- Preferences: waitlist consent, recipe-update consent, goals, experience, equipment, food preferences, timezone and optional support or accessibility preferences. We use your selected energy, time and focus to suggest activities.
- Grounding Room entries: breathing duration, selected mood, reflections and optional body or wellness notes you choose to save.
- Community and purchase activity: information needed to send invitations or connect you with third-party checkout providers. Payment card details are handled by the payment provider, not HOW LAB.
- Technical information: information that hosting, security and embedded-service providers may process to deliver the site.
Member home and saved collections
If you choose to save them, we store daily check-ins and completion marks, weekly reflections and self-reported energy and confidence, favorite resources, and named Grounding Room routines. These are linked to your account so you can return across devices. Suggestions are based on your selections; they are not a clinical assessment. Member reflections are not posted to Telegram or sent to email marketing services.
Your personal zone, rituals and feedback
We store optional profile photos, header images, colour choices, calendar-reminder preferences and private weekly ritual responses with your account. Uploaded profile images are served only to your signed-in account. You can replace or remove them in your zone settings. Feedback you submit is available to you and the authorized HOW LAB owner to improve the service; it is not published as a review. Ritual responses are not automatically posted to Telegram. Sharing a copied response is your choice.
Calendar reminders are optional downloads. Once imported, they are managed by your chosen calendar provider. Changing your settings here does not delete an event already imported into your calendar; remove or edit that event in your calendar as well.
3. Why we use it
We use information to create and secure your account, save your private wellness history, deliver programs and purchases, honour communication preferences, improve HOW LAB and comply with legal obligations. We do not use Grounding Room entries to diagnose, treat or make automated decisions about you.
4. Your consent and choices
We ask for consent in clear language and only for identified purposes. Email marketing is optional and can be withdrawn. Saving a Grounding Room entry is optional; the breathing timer works without saving. Please enter only information you are comfortable storing.
5. Who may process information
HOW LAB may rely on service providers for hosting and secure sign-in, email delivery, payment or digital fulfillment, community access and embedded media. Current services may include OpenAI/ChatGPT sign-in and hosting, MailerLite, Resend for requested recipe and welcome emails, Payhip, Telegram and Spotify. Amazon links may be affiliate links. These providers have their own privacy practices and may process information outside Canada.
6. Wellness information
Mood, reflection and body-note entries can be sensitive. They are visible only within your authenticated experience and authorized systems used to operate it. They are not reviewed continuously, monitored by a clinician or suitable for urgent communication. Do not use HOW LAB to report an emergency.
7. Retention and safeguards
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above or as required by law. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can promise absolute security.
8. Access, correction and deletion
You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold, withdraw eligible consent or request deletion, subject to legal exceptions. Email jodyhwll@gmail.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. We may need to verify your identity.
9. Parent-managed child profiles
The Children’s Grounding + Creative Zone is designed for a parent or caregiver to use with a child. A signed-in adult with full membership may create a mini profile using a child’s first name or nickname, broad age range, Grounding Pal choices and saved favourite routines, activities or videos. We do not ask children for an email address, exact birth date, location or health information. These profiles remain linked to and controlled through the adult’s account. Parents may request access, correction or deletion using the contact information above.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as HOW LAB grows. The date above will show the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
